We are what we eat!
You've heard that for your entire life. You know that you need 9-13 servings of produce a day. You know that an apple day keeps the doctor away. But life gets IN the way of that, doesn't it? I have always been healthy, but I've also always been a little sick, and didn't realize it. Ear infections, conjunctivitis, bronchitis, sinusitis, psoriasis, inflammation, IBS, food "allergies." These health "hiccups" we all live with and think are "normal," are simply not. We are meant to be healthy. And the only thing that can make healthy for our bodies are fruits and vegetables. I didn't realize this until 2014, when I was diagnosed with Hashimotos (thyroid autoimmune disorder) at the age of 41. My mother had her thyroid taken out in her 40s, so I was scared. I had suffered through 6 years of elimination diets up to that point, preceded by a couple of decades of aforementioned UNwellness, and I was at my whit's end. I decided to add in a whole food concentrate that changed my world. 4 years later, my labs results show that I don't have a thyroid issue, my hormones are in balance, my gut is in balance, I don't get sick, I have energy that lasts all day, and I feel and look 10 years younger. It's made me want to eat better, live fuller, and treat my body better. The community I have landed in is like family - with the same mission I have of inspiring healthy living, living life to the fullest, growing my own food when possible, and helping the world be a better place.
