This past week was utterly magical. 2000 of our healthiest friends were able to gather, finally. And as you know, it feels like it's been a lifetime since we could do that. Usually, our Juice Plus Community gathers twice a year at a spring and fall "JPLIVE" conference in rotating cities with about 10,000 strong. We haven't done so since fall of 2019. My takeaways from this week were many, but one thing I know — is the LIGHT that we create when we're together. One thing I love that I can trust about this community because of the type of mission work we do, is that we're all healthy. Health focused, body-aware, conscientious and conscious, and eating lots and lots of plant matter. Daily. #IMMUNESTRONG What other group of people can you say that about?! Name one. I dare you. (Okay, maybe you go to vegan conferences, but I still bet we have you beat!) And one thing I do know about eating that much plant matter, is that it raises your vibration THROUGH THE ROOF. The very first time my husband Craig and I attended a conference with this crew, there we were in the main hall, spring of 2015, looking around us at all the people wide awake, bright eyed and chipper at 8 AM, dancing to very loud rave-like music. And then we realized: "These people are all hopped up on Fruits and Veggies!" BINGO moment for sure. So when we're together, that collective, even at 20% our normal capacity, with 2 years of build-up, we are STRONG, BRIGHT, SHINY HAPPY PEOPLE!
And it was glorious. If you're looking to join a collective like that. Reach out. No experience required.

Community: The Power of Prayer
This past week, I had an adventure with our cat Ziggy, of the not-so-desirable kind. On Sunday, he got into some blue foam and duct tape, unbeknownst to us, and then went about his business. On Monday around 4 AM, he threw up said foam and tape, and I went into "watch-mode." Ziggy has done this before, and it's not turned out well. Last Christmas Eve, at the tender age of 1, he had to have a red fuzzy ball removed from his stomach, surgically. During a snowstorm in February, we had to call in our vet to the ER because he was exhibiting the same symptoms, and now we're nervous parents. In July of this year, just before he turned 2, he got into – we think – a bird's nest that may have been toxic and then had another long day at the vet doing a barium study, which involves countless x-rays and a detectable liquid, "innate" supposedly, but yeah. In all my years with cats, I have never had be this problematic. By Tuesday of last week, he had thrown up all he could and was sleeping all day and not eating. By Wednesday, he had, what seemed, like a scary neurological event, and I rushed him to the vet. My vet wasn't able to do the diagnostics she wanted, and sent me 3 hours south to Denver, where they were able to find a remaining piece of that foam and remove it. Surgically. Again. Ziggy's longest car ride ever. He wasn't amused. The point of all this is that I had two major lessons that I've been talking about with my inner circle: The lesson in this for me, and the power of community and prayer. Let's cover that second one first. Immediately when I have had these "adventures" with Ziggy the cat, I have made a social post that says, "PRAYER CHAIN PLEASE." Because I believe in the power of prayer. I'm not going to go look up the stats, there are thousands of examples of where group prayer and collective thought can make a difference. I trust that to be true, so I enact it. I call it in. And then I trust. I also kick in my own affirmations and stated them to Ziggy during the whole 3-hour drive to Denver. "You're going to be okay," "Daddy said the very best doctor is waiting for you," "I am so glad you're going to get the best care possible," etc. Now, it sure would be nice if Ziggy knew he was eating stupid shit and stopped. But that will surely be another email to come, because we have a couple of leads I'm excited about and we'll be working on that through the next few months. We have to. Because this road doesn't end well if it continues its trajectory. Now, let's cover the lesson. Because that's what's most important. Our pets are an extension of ourselves, and if we create our own reality, they are a part of it, and therefore in the multiverse concept, we are truly creating their reality too. So Ziggy's lesson IS my lesson, and we're working on that. Last week in my post – if you missed it, click here – I talked about the power of a strong mindset, and using Consistency, Discipline and Focus to do that. Creating that isn't easy... it takes all three of those things. It has taken me all three for sure, and then some. But now, when I have a crisis thrown at me like this, I can keep a level head, because I have worked hard at it. I don't collapse into a sobbing puddle and think "I can't do this," or "why does this always happen to me?" I had a friend tell me she wouldn't have been able to drive the 3-hour home after that whole scenario, and sure, I cried, I called my mom, I thought the worst for a split second. But in the Celestine Prophesy (yes, hello if you don't know by now it all comes back to this manual for life for me!), in the 7th Insight, Redfield talks about stopping negative visions as soon as they come in. Why? Because thoughts create things. Once you KNOW this, you know how important it is to STOP the noise immediately and think positive thoughts. The messages people have been sending me have been interesting – many, which I'm grateful for, are just kind check-ins and well wishes. Some I can tell don't have this strong of a mindset yet, asking me all sorts of dramatic questions and unknowingly putting their negative energy in my field. I know how to protect myself from that, I know that that's their story not mine, and I know how to continue to raise my vibration to help Ziggy, even from 3 hours away. And because I know you're wondering, he is fine, recovering at home, and surrounded by love and peace. We are launching another round of Manifesting with Synchronicity starting 11/11, and if you want to be able to do all of those things in the middle of a crisis, join us. Because it's life changing, I assure you. Keep the faith, Andy It's amazing when your brain spends as little time in confusion and darkness as possible. This last week I was so grateful to be a part of a call on mindset for our Juice Plus team. It was an honor to stand in for the Cynthia Gompers, a 30+ year veteran in the company, and fill her shoes for the 30 minutes of insights and experience that her weekly calls always offer.
I was even more grateful to be doing this call with my longtime mentor and bestie, Lauri Aigner, with 17+ years in the business to her own. These weekly calls were an inspiration to me from the beginning of my journey in network marketing, and I don't say this enough – I am so so grateful as well for what this community and business has brought to my life. First and foremost is the personal growth for me. I have long been a student of personal growth, because I believe if I'm not growing, I'm not serving the best I can. I put personal growth first in my calendar blocks, because it's that high up on my priority list. So when I get to share a little bit of the nuggets that I have learned along the way, it's an honor and a blessing to pay it forward. The focus of our call was business-related, but it can apply to everything – as all things do. Perspective is an ever changing illusion. So when we talked about Consistency, Discipline and Focus, sure we told our stories of how these weave into our business, but I know they weave into my life, relationships, hobbies, and dreams as well. But the biggest takeaway for me in that is that you choose your own reality. I talk about this in many posts. So I ask this... What if it all works out? Whenever you're feeling challenged, you're in a spiral, you're thinking the worst. Ask yourself, what if it all works out, and see how that feels. Feel into the scenario of it working out, and let that visualization unfold. Sometimes it's nice just to try on someone else's clothes. Think brighter, Andy This word has been in my field all year, but in the last month it's been front and center. The word is simple, "conformity in the application of something," is the short definition, and when applied to the learning of a skill, the success of a business, or the progress of health – consistency is the 'X Factor.'
It is the foundation for all things – it is our breath and our heartbeat, it is the sunlight that makes plants grow. When we want to make a change in our life, we often take on more than we can chew, whether it's exercising, diet, meditation, or even career; if you remodel your life completely from the way it looks now, it will likely not be a sustainable remodel. In our nutrition world we say "one simple change" at a time. Add more water for 21 days, and focus just on that. Add in a 2-mile walk for 21 days, and focus just on that. Why? Because it takes 21 days to create a habit. Mike Dooley and Deepak Chopra have made the 21-day course part of their foundation for education. And in that foundation, lies the method of consistency. Daily, concerted action towards the creation of a new habit, and ultimately, a new you. So this fall, take a look at your 4th quarter goals and intentions, pick one that you can chunk down into 21-day changes, and then focus on one change at a time, doing so for just 5 minutes a day. Consistency is the true power in willpower. |
