Improve Your Reality
We live in an age of media saturation, where information is abundant and easily available, everything accessible at a tap of a finger... It's easy to get swept away by the stream of negative news, to get reality mixed up, questioning between right or wrong. Traversing through gray areas have never been more challenging. Our newsfeeds might look like the bright billboards of Times Square, dominating our social media platforms with eye-catching headlines about politics, health, business—the list goes on. Subconsciously, we become influenced by the energy they emanate and, oftentimes, that influence has fully saturated our energy fields before our brains even have the time to process the information consumed. I came across an eye-opening video by Pam Gregory a few days ago. I'm sharing it below. It's fantastic. She says, and I paraphrase, that all the real atrocities happening in the world—war, poverty, misery, disease, death--all these unthinkable things are all expressions of low-frequency energies. Now, as I look back, many of what I've written in the past have mentioned a similar topic at hand and it goes back to what we truly are, and that is energy. We are all energy. Every single one of us are matters composed of energy with the capacity to create vibrations that both affect our own selves and the world at large. Knowing this enables us to be better creators of our realities. As humans in our physical forms, we are easily influenced and threatened by exterior factors, like how seasonal changes can make us sick, or how negative experiences can physically and mentally scar us. Our physical reach (effect) has restricting limits, but what many fail to discover, understand and, moreover, utilize is the power our energies contain. If things presented within screens have the ability to affect societies, why can't our energy—our vibrations—have the influence to do the same—if not, even more? Negative media, antagonism, calamity and all other forms of low-frequency energies give us the opportunity to expand our energy fields and strengthen our vibrational force. Hone and, more importantly, share your high frequency amidst a time of lower frequencies. I can't promise that it will be easy, in fact, now more than ever is the task more challenging. But, I encourage you to start, and if you've already started, to keep going. You're on the right track. An important thing to note, and one of the biggest takeaways from Pam, is: Consciousness is fundamental. In order to vibrate at a higher level (and in order to counter low / negative frequencies), you have to make the conscious decision to be intentional—mindful—of the energy, or energies, you want to create. Remember, energies hold great power of influence. They will influence you and others, so be intentional about it. If you're watching news about war, for example, instead of getting swept away by the intense negativity it presents, counter that energy by switching up the station to a higher frequency of hope and peace, through sending vibrations of love and warmth to the people affected, by saying a silent prayer, practicing a daily declaration, or standing in agreement with a loved one... We're all capable of doing this, of making a change, little by little, and as we take a step back to look at the bigger picture, you'll realize how far your vibrations have travelled and how great your influence has inspired. We are energy. Andy

Practice makes perfect!
This conversation has been on my radar this week—what is it that makes someone successful at what they do? How does that relate to manifestation—and better said, what we can control? I.E., is success a dial that we can turn up or down? Is it a gift? Luck? Or is there a formula? What does success depend upon? And by success, what do I mean? I mean with anything you set your mind to, be that business goals, personal goals, health goals, family goals... whatever you're striving to achieve. I've been at this a long time. I've been to countless talks, workshops, and seminars on mindset. I've followed all the greats, read a lot of their books, and studied, attempted, and mixed up more techniques than I can list. And for me, it all boils down to one thing. Consistent, equal effort on both the task and yourself. Let's break that down. Consistency: Doing something over and over until it's second nature. If you did that with your goal—let's say your goal is weight loss—if you were consistent with eating healthy and moving your body on a daily basis, will you lose weight? Arguably, yes, but we so often hear that people don't. Where's the breakdown? Let's keep going. Equal effort on both: That means both the task you want to achieve—the goal, and yourself. Working on the goal is paramount. You can't sit on your couch eating ice cream and expect to lose weight. But likewise, you can't eat healthy, move your body, and think negative thoughts about your body, and lose weight. You can, however, lose weight, but thinking more about it positively than doing the do, because the mind is a powerful thing. If you visualize being your goal weight as often as you can, you eventually won't want to eat ice cream on the couch because your mind is powerful and knows the two aren't connected. You will start wanting to eat healthier and move daily. Recently, I heard that success is directly quantifiable with your personal growth. The measure of success is a graph that parallels your inner work. Do the inner work consistently, and success will come. In adverse, don't do the work—don't find your blindspots and shine the light on them, don't correct mistakes, don't reprogram your bad programming, don't heal your wounds—and you won't see success. Or, rather, your success will dig as deep as you do. The question I get asked most on this topic is: How do you do that if you don't know where to start? So, if it isn't obvious... ask yourself a few questions: What are your weaknesses? What are your strengths? What are you afraid of? What excites you? What are you challenged by? What comes easy to you? By asking both sides, you get to see where you can improve/dig deep, and where you can excel easily. Apply all of these to your goal, and you'll move the needle. So, if your goal is losing weight, and your weakness is doughnuts, but your strength is long runs, then go for a long run every time you want a sweet thing. If you're afraid of not losing the weight, but live concerts excite you, then every time you hear yourself saying you don't think you can do this, schedule a dance session and shake it off. If you're challenged by counting calories, but technology comes easy to you, then swap the counting for an app that does that and commit to entering your macros daily so you know you're eating a balanced diet to support your changes. Make sense? We constantly beat ourselves up for what we aren't doing. That's not going to move the needle, it's just going to make us feel worse. And eat more doughnuts. Remember... Consistent, equal effort on both the task and yourself. You got this. 11:11 portal and manifestation tips
Today is an extra special day for all manifesters out there. November 11, or to fellow numerology folks like me, 11:11, is more than just an angelic number combination. Today marks an open portal, and that opening allows us to create a deeper connection with our higher selves as the numbers '1111' relate to higher intuition and manifesting. To some, today can mark a new beginning, or a start of a new hobby or practice! If you followed this week's astrological forecast, you read (and must've experienced) that we underwent plenty of changes these past couple of weeks, from entering a new season to undergoing a universal "cleansing." This week is depicted to be a little more mellow (phew), but we're still urged to be introspective, to draw from within and cultivate peace with our inner beings. Again, seasonal changes bring a lot of "stirrings," so it's important that we stabilize and find firmer footing before taking action. What better day to calibrate than today, with the numbers also in complete alignment, we should be able to find an easier connection with our higher selves. If you've been in the waiting room for something you want manifested into your life for a while now, it's time to completely harness your power to call forth that manifestation into your sphere—it's time to invite it in, ensuring that there's sufficient room, welcome it into your sphere like the rightful guest it deserves to be. Our methods on manifesting vary. We all have our ways to go about it, but the key factor is bridging our intentional selves with our willing (open-minded) selves in a place of balance, peace, equilibrium. Finding that center is important. Some find it through pilates or yoga, others through some kind of personalized meditation or ritual, and some by facing a mirror or by walking in nature... Once you're there, in that place, it's time to manifest, to connect with the higher, inner self, mind free of noise and worldly nuances. It's time to maximize the energy that this day has in store for those who are ready to manifest and, if it's the right time for you, have those manifestations realized (brought into your sphere; into your reality). Keeping in mind a manifesting method that works best for you, I've compiled a few tips to help get you into the spirit of this powerful day. I've had a spirit guide for decades now, if you're like me in this regard, I encourage you to connect with your spirit guide today. 1111 is connected to our intuition and higher powers, therefore we are situated in a particularly good day to contact our spiritual guides, and there are a number of ways that you can do this—from writing them a letter to looking out for "light messages" and synchronicities from them. Another simple way is through visualization, which helps speed up the manifestation. By frequently visualizing what you want manifested, your brain is getting subconsciously primed to look for ways to make those goals happen. There are many different types of visualization techniques out there, but I recommend trying "rehearsal imagery" to get started! In especially synchronistic days like these, I try to be more in tune with myself in relation to the world around me. If you're feeling too busy or overwhelmed, perhaps it's time to take a step back, relax and reflect before making the "next big move." The universe is always sending us signs and they often come in different forms and, more often than not, we miss them. Manifestations, like ideas, are all around us, whirling about like endless, unyielding energy currents, and we fail to get a hold of them for a myriad of reasons, like being too occupied with work, not being able to put the phone down, getting too anxious or stressed by worldly pressures, or becoming too in tune with distractions. The bottom line is, today is a great day to connect with your higher self. That connection will be stronger than ever. So I encourage you to set aside some time today—even just a few moments—to introspect, to awaken what might've been sleeping dormant for a while, and gather the strength to manifest what belongs to your sphere. It's time to make that call. We're in very synchronistic times, my friend. Be intentional, willing... and more importantly, be ready. Are you / Will you be? Manifestations are made real to those who are ready for them. With opens arms, Andy Mind what goes in your mind.
This week, I've decided to address the "Fear Factor". I have been having this conversation more than I would like to, so I thought it was a good one to share. Let me back up and start with a story. When we move to Tennessee, we quickly realized that guns were a thing of normalcy. They probably were in Colorado, but not like this—not just sitting there on your belt for all the world to see. I'm a curious human, so I ask. From what I found, the reasons for carrying a gun vary, from personal protection—whether that's from other humans or animals, to family protection, to hunting, to "just because I can" carry openly here. In fact, once we moved up to the land full time, we realized that there might not be a single neighbor without one. To the south is a former park ranger, as National Park law enforcement, packing heat was part of her job. To the east, a former US Coast Guard chief, female. Heavily armed, including semi-automatics. Up the road, a former Florida police officer. Always armed with 2, a rifle on the side-by-side, and some kind of big-bullet pistol on his belt. Down the road, former Army, I believe. This couple had so many guns. They sold a bunch before they moved here, enough to pay for a brand new truck in cash. So, now that I've painted the picture, having Shambhala in the middle of all that, an intentional community founded in peace and unconditional love, not carrying guns means we're the odd man out, and to them, downright negligent. And to add to our stance, our guidelines currently say no hunting, so no guns for that either. But I still won't buy into the fear. Being this far remote, the black bear and coyotes don't have a taste for human waste, their world is abundant, open and free. I don't see either of them knocking in my door for food. "What about the meth heads?" I've been asked. Here's where the fear line gets gray. I can choose to fear the random attacks (crime or violence), that are so minimal here it's unremarkable, or I can choose to trust that I am protected, Shambhala is protected, and I can sleep soundly at night with the doors locked or unlocked, it shouldn't matter. What would Ghandi do? This is a question I often ask myself when I feel the fear creeping in. When someone else's beliefs overpower mine. If I carry a gun because I'm afraid of being attacked, am I not drawing that attack to me? Am I not sending out fear ripples into the world asking the universe to prove me right? So, this is the conversation I have been having... We must stop the fear images when they come in. One of my early teachers taught me "cancel, cancel," meaning, erase the white board of my mind from the negativity that just crept in. That helps to do the swipe with your hand in the air. For me, this works great for any time that I catch myself speaking a negative thought—whether that's fear, self-defacing, or judgmental. Instead of thinking, "I'm the only one without a gun so I'm going to be the target," I choose to think "I am protected." When I catch that boundary slipping, I reinforce it with "everyone else around me has guns so 'they' will think I do, too. All those new friends are just a phone call away if I needed, and my car is fast." But, really, even when I say those last two sentences, it feels unnecessary. I feel protected, I have always felt this way. From walking around in DC at night as a teenager, to walking home from the bar at work—in Eugene OR, Glasgow Scotland, or Steamboat CO—and most recently with a global virus, I choose no fear. I am protected. I bubble my car, and send positive vibes to troopers (who are "always going the other way"), I hug trees and invoke the elementals. I call upon my ascended masters and ancestors. I have a strong aura and I put out a strong "don't F with me vibe." Meth heads got nuthin' on me. So my message is: Choose your reality, my friend, as if your life depends on it, and mind what you allow into your mind. Be the gatekeeper of your own positive outcomes. Only then, will you feel free. |
