Celebrate everything, always
This week, I was in Charlotte, North Carolina, with my Juice Plus team from all around the country (and world!), learning, up-leveling, and celebrating as we do each year together... Thank you, Lauri Aigner, for bringing me into this amazing community! 💜 My biggest takeaways is CREATE COMMUNITY. It's this global community that has given me the inspiration and courage (and time freedom!) to build what we're building on Shambhala. But what I love best is the FUN we have... And, boy oh boy, do we have fun! We even have a little video of it, it's a dopamine-booster and can be viewed here! So, because I'm writing this from the event, I'll be brief, but here's what I want to see you do this week! DANCE OFTEN and CAREFREE! WEAR RED, LOUD and PROUD! MAKE A FRIEND! SMILE! (A lot!) HUG OFTEN and CAREFREE! And... Eat like your life depends on it. As many fruits and veggies as possible. If you need help with that, reach out, because after 9 years with this company, I'm more committed than ever to help everyone I meet change their health for the better! Live loud!

It's just a matter of training, practice, and dedication. . .
I recently came across this image and it's too magnificent not to share. For one, I want you all to see, that even if you don't know your gifts, they are there. I truly believe we are all lightworkers. We all chose this time to be here, to elevate, inspire, and do the work during this great transition. It feels like a lifetime ago when I started recognizing these gifts, and while I started out as a Messenger, transmitting messages from source and very clear on receiving those messages, that gift had to be awakened in me, and once it was, I was clear, and I kept going. I have since worked on other skills, and see a bit of myself in many of these other areas—Astral Travel, Manifestor, Ascension Guide, Lightkeeper, Way Shower, Unifier, Healer... Just like in my career, dabbling in the variety has helped me gain clarity on my purpose, and what I've come to realize is that--shocker--I can't do it all (or be all). By focusing on my two biggest gifts, Unifying and Lightkeeping, I can be a Way Shower and Ascension Guide for humanity to awaken and shift to the next phase of our evolution. If you're still working on what those gifts are, I suggest you sit with this list and meditate on each one, narrow it down, ask your guides, even muscle test if needed. And when one really stands out to you, begin to walk down that path. Ask for help, for signs, for guides to help you grow this skill and open your light, to let it shine and make the world a better place. Look for groups on the social networks you can tap into, look for videos to help you awaken the skills. We need more people doing this work, now more than ever. The light is within you. Let it shine. As they do in every forest. This week, I built a fairy house in a mother oak, and it came to life before my eyes.
At first, I was just placing a door on a tree, but then the earth said "move me," and the rocks said, "set me aside," and the twigs said, "use me as a bridge. . ." Before I knew it, I was landscaping and building an arc around the doorway, and then the giggling started. The first time I heard the giggling was in Oregon, deep in the woods of one of the many trails to a waterfall in our wettest state in the union. It started like a tickle behind my ears, a tingling of energy in my body. Then, a dart of light. And a mushroom sighting. Then a cairn. The waterfall glistens with magic. These are the signs of elemental presence. Fairies are everywhere, but they can only sparkle a glimpse into the 3rd dimension. You have to allow your 3rd eye and 6th senses to let go of the 3D and slip into the 4th. Then you will hear the giggle. Feel the spark. I have been working with fairies as long as I can remember, although, when I was younger, I was told it was "make believe," but now I know it wasn't. From the series that dance with me behind the log in our backyard, to the fairies that I drew in high school—some of my first artistic expressions of a talent I didn't know I had, but that they awakened in me, to the fairies that followed me from Oregon to Scotland to Colorado and, now, to Tennessee... I have a vila ferry tattooed on my shoulder, symbolizing the freedom I felt in spreading my wings in walking away from the 9 to 5 world. But I had never made a fairy house as of yet. So today was special, on this Fibonacci day—10-11-23. I hope they like what I created with love, joy, and childlike wonder. That's the recipe, in case you wondered. If you build it, they will come. Plant Allies!
Goldenrod and Jewelweed This week, I breathed a sigh of relief as I finally got into our fields and harvested something native! These two plant allies are such magical and dainty little new friends--I've never worked with either of them before, and I'm thrilled to be spending time with just two plants over the next few weeks to get to know them. Backing up, I dove head first into my love of plants on the farm in Oregon in 1995, swimming in the pool of knowledge that was gifted to us interns that summer, communing first hand with the plants in the gardens we were maintaining and creating. From there, I continued my quest for knowledge, mostly from books, during the next year in Oregon, and then the following year in Scotland. When I moved to Steamboat, I brought that love with me, and early on I connected to two natural health and plant kingdom aficionados—Mary O'Brien and Karen Vale—longtime locals, brimming with knowledge they were both eager to share. So much so that many years (like 15!) later, they co-authored a wild-craft/foraging book together--Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Rockies, a kickstarter of sorts that I gladly lined up among their many students and fans to support. I also want to give a shout out to Susan Mead, another very knowledgeable herbalist in Steamboat, who has also taught me much about plants and processing plant medicine throughout the years as I joined the Master Gardener collective. But three points I'll make that I know you know:
So... time, distractions, other directions and knowledge, led me to lose touch with the deep desire I've always had, which is to know the plants around me as if they were my closest friends, to know their medicine and gifts, to know their cycles and best practices. And this is exactly one of the top 5 things we intend for Shambhala--to have it be a place of learning to connect with nature and use nature to sustain your health, vitality, and longevity. So, today, after a summer of having to wait to connect on a deeper level with our local flora and fauna, inspired by a post in our women's homesteading group and tapping into these two plant allies, brought up a deep remembrance and joy for me that is hard for me to put into words. Touching the flowers of goldenrod and pulling up the delicate plants of jewelweed ignited that long, dormant spark of connection to plants that we all have. It's ancestral. Our great-grandmothers knew this plant medicine. The native peoples knelt as I knelt and harvested these same plants by a creek nearby, maybe even this creek. Brewing the jewelweed in oil and the goldenrod in vodka brought up that witchy connection to magic and alchemy—I am turning Gaia's gifts into medicine. This is sacred. This is precious. This is my calling. And what a gift that these two were already here, waiting for me. Along with mint, and mullein, plantain, cedar, burdock, chicory and so many others that are here, ready to serve our community as they were intended. If you want to learn more about these two joyous 2nd and 3rd chakra allies, here's the video we've made for each of them, the start of many to come! 2nd Chakra: https://youtu.be/wXqdcWS-5bE?si=j4VpNGmQ-AM3AA6N 3rd Chakra: https://youtu.be/hyT8ow7i500?si=p9V0Z-LUxcNRUYtj Take off your shoes and ground into Mother Gaia today. Your energetic roots won't regret it. In plants we trust. |
